The game really gets in the way of enjoying the story content. Now after clicking play (character creation screen) instant crash. then I disabled Hardware mouse/movies in config. And missing significant portions of this content makes the main narrative flimsier it's not like Torment where the overall tale is still good even if you miss a lot of the details. at first, I couldnt get past the loading screen after the obsidian/lucasarts logos. Non-influence-locked companion content still requires he annoying Bioware-style "talk to everyone after each level" style of content mongering, which is a poor way of delivering information due to pacing issues (and general tedium). If the player hasn't reached an alignment extreme going into a certain area, a huge portion of content won't trigger. Pertinent backstory and thematic content is hidden in dialogues locked behind influence gates.gates that might require metagaming (bringing certain characters to specific points in time) to pass through.

And it isn't the myriad combat sections that do so, but things like the influence system, dialogue bugs, and some poor design choices. KOTOR2 may have some solid storyfag content, but the game completely obstructs enjoyment of it.
